Sultan Brunei reshuffles cabinet: two princes appointed ministers, seven women hold high positions

Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah announced a cabinet reshuffle on June 5, 2026 — the first time two of his sons were appointed as full ministers, seven women were appointed to ministerial and deputy minister positions (a record high), and three new Coordinating Ministers were formed to strengthen the implementation of Vision 2035.
